Pressure. Emergence. Release.

WELCOME
About the work
I work with clay, porcelain, found objects, and living materials to explore how form behaves during moments of change. My practice is grounded in process rather than fixed outcomes. I allow material instability, collapse, and unpredictability to guide the work, treating clay not as something to control, but as a collaborator.

Much of my recent work emerged during a period of personal and material transition. Rather than illustrating this change, the sculptures observe it. Forms slump, rise, crack, or open. Some feel heavy and strained, others playful, fragile, or calm. Together they reflect how becoming unfolds slowly, unevenly, and often without clear direction.
Recurring throughout my work are shapes that feel alive. Creatures, bodies, fragments, or early organisms that sit somewhere between recognition and abstraction.

Sustainability is a quiet discipline within my practice. Clay is recycled until fired, materials are reused wherever possible, and living elements such as moss are incorporated with care. Sustainability is not a theme I illustrate, but a way of working that shapes how decisions are made in the studio.
I am drawn to moments where something appears to be forming itself. Where meaning is sensed before it is named.

Workshops and commissions
Alongside my sculptural practice, I offer ceramic workshops for small groups. These sessions are designed as an introduction to working with clay through touch, attention, and play. Participants are guided through the process of making while allowing space for experimentation and intuition.

I also work on commission, developing sculptural pieces in dialogue with collectors, organisations, or specific spaces. Each commission begins with material research and an open process, rather than a predetermined form.
