In 2022 I was working in a corporate job, in the human resources department of some corporate, however after working in different roles and companies for 5 years I came to the conclusion that this career path was making me extremely unhappy. I started exploring what I wanted to do and quickly arrived that it was going to be something artistic. My childhood dream, what I told my parents and other adutls when I was young, was actually to either become an philosopher...what child says that...OR...an artist. From when I was 14 me and my dad went on artistic holidays every summer. But we ended up loving pottery and working with clay in general. Shout out to La Ceramique. So at first I safely explored if the artistic part was just going to be a hobby and a job next to it. After a couple of months and playing around it gave me so much energy and my job was draining it away immediately that I decided to quit.

September 2022 I started an orientation course at the Rietveld Academy, to check if sculptures/ceramics are the only medium I want to work with. Conclusion, I really enjoyed working with other mediums as well, but for now I'm sticking with what I know best. In December 2022 I founded my company OBBE Studio and managed to get a studio space in combinaation with a side job!

Now I'm giving workshops because I love sharing my passion for ceramics and working on a first exhibition to introduce OBBE to the world.
